Frequently Asked Questions

Concierge_doctor_tampa_41Question: Can I add family members to my account?

Answer:  Yes. Spouses, domestic partners, children, parents of enrolled children and other family members can be added to or removed from your billing account at any time. Each patient will have his or her individual medical record and may request to have their care provided by a different health care provider if they wish. Additionally if you are a parent, you may register your child (or children) without being a patient yourself.

Question:  Is there a long-term contract?

Answer:  No. The program is a month-to-month agreement and you can cancel at anytime. However, to re-enroll, you will pay a $99 re-enrollment fee. And because we limit the number of patients at our practices, we cannot guarantee that there will be room if you wish to re-join at a later date.

Question:  Do I have to have health insurance to become a patient?

Concierge_doctor_tampa_35Answer:  No. Anyone can become a patient at anytime. We do not pre-screen or deny patients because of their age, race, religion, national origin, health condition including the presence of any sensory, mental, or physical disability, sexual orientation, education, economic status, employment status or citizenship.

Question:  Is your program health insurance?

Answer:  No. We work directly for our patients to provide direct primary care. Your monthly care fee pays for our primary and preventive care services.  We do not bill any insurance carrier for our services, and our monthly care fees are not reimbursable by any health insurance company, and may not be applied to any insurance plan deductible.

Concierge_doctor_tampa_37Your insurance plan may be billed by others for services such as emergency, hospital, specialty care, laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, prescription drugs or other goods and services that are ordered by your health care provider but are not performed or provided in our offices.

Question:  Can I become a patient if I am covered by Medicare or Medicaid?

Answer:  Yes. However, our monthly care fees are not reimbursable by these programs.  Outside services such as laboratory tests, specialty care or imaging services may be billed to these programs.

Question: If I am in a managed care healthcare plan currently, may I join your program too?

Concierge_doctor_tampa_38Answer:  Yes. Your monthly fee provides you with primary care regardless of your insurance or managed care plan. However, your managed care company
or your health maintenance organization (HMO) may refuse to pay for any goods or services that are not ordered by one of their providers.

Question:  Do you currently offer your program to union members?

Answer:  Yes. Through trust plans or collectively bargained agreements, that can be arranged. Call your benefits office or union for more information.

Question:  How much is your program and how quickly can I sign up?

Concierge_doctor_tampa_39]Answer:  We charge each patient a monthly fee based on the package of services requested, regardless of insurance status or pre-existing conditions. We offer discounts for those who sign up for quarterly, semi-annual and annual payment schedules.
